From Taiwan brake specialist, Frando presents their 8-pot big brake kit upgrade for the Genesis Coupe.
The caliper material is made of T-6061 aluimum, which is a two-piece CNC forged processed unit. This makes the final product lightweight and much stronger than iron cast calipers. All Frando calipers are coated with an aluminum anodizing process to make a high-temp, abrasion and corrosion-resistant finish. (Anodizing is harder than a painted surface, hence the increased durability). Calipers are available in several different colors. If a color is not chosen, black is the default color.
The brackets are made out of high-strength 7075 aircraft-grade aluminum alloy, which minimizes any bending or flexing when the calipers engage--even at extreme high speeds/cornering.
Frando uses a 2-piece floading disc for their rotors, which have a center hat constructed of high-strength 7075 aircraft-grade aluminum alloy, just like the brackets. This provides a stiffer, greater strength product than lower-quality products that may be prone to deflection or bending. Also, 2-pc floating rotors are much lighter in weight than traditional 1-pc rotors. This translates to a lower spinning weight, or less centrifugal force--which means quicker acceleration and improved suspension response. 2-pc rotors can also just have the rotor ring replaced (while re-using the hat), which is a money-saver in the long run. Rotors are only available with the slotted design, though some pictures may have drilled as well.
